A letter from Dub & Joyce Conley

Dear Talmage Children,

Today is a sad day and we are so sorry that our health problems prevent us from being there with you at this tragic time. Your Mom & Dad were both an inspiration to all of us. The way that Doris & Dale lived their lives just sparkled as a clear demonstration of their love for the Lord and for each other. Both your parents had so many special ways of saying "I love you" to not only family but friends and loved ones too.

Our sometimes, almost daily, telephone conversations with Dale these past years kept us up to date with how he was feeling and all your family as well. All of you knew about his daily routine...with your mother during her illness. Your Dad was the most faithful husband about seeing to your Mother's daily needs each and every day. Dale always knew how Doris was feeling. He had said to us many times how he wanted and prayed that he would live long enough to take care of Doris....His faith in our Lord never wavered through all these trying times or his belief in a future home in Heaven.

We are sorry that we did not know that your Dad was in the hospital. That must have happened about Tuesday, February 6th, 2007. We loved your Mom and Dad dearly. They were not only our very best friends but like a close brother and sister to us both all these years and they were always "Moma T." and "Papa T." to all of our children. There is no way to describe how much we will miss Doris & Dale. May their lives always be examples for all of you and our Lord bless you and keep you. We love all of you so very much and you are all in our prayers.

                                                              Dub & Joyce
